As we look ahead on our challenges and opportunities in 2026, it’s worth taking a moment to reflect on what guides us – the principles that shape how we lead, work, and support one another. At MBUSI, values aren’t something we revisit only during milestones. They’re present in the everyday decisions that define how we operate.

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year! As I look back at last year, I want to thank you for the pride in your work and the culture you helped create.

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to wish you all a happy holiday – this is my favorite time of year!

As we approach Thanksgiving, this time of year naturally brings a moment to pause and reflect. At MBUSI, what I am most grateful for is how we show up for one another with commitment, integrity, and care. The way you bring our values to life each day is something I appreciate deeply.

Being rooted in a community means more than having a place to work – it means being part of something larger than ourselves. At MBUSI, caring for our community is woven into who we are. It shows up in how we support one another, how we give back, and how we take pride in caring for our Alabama community.

Culture doesn’t come from one person. It’s built by all of us at MBUSI, in the way we work, listen, and treat one another every day. It’s what turns a group of people into a team and gives purpose to the work we do.

Open Enrollment may be behind us, but the support available to you at MBUSI doesn’t end there. We are proud to offer a variety of programs to help you learn, grow, stay healthy, and take care of what matters most all year long.

Commitment is more than showing up. It’s about what happens because we show up. When every Team Member is here, on time, and ready, it builds trust and shows pride in our work, and we can operate like a well-oiled machine. It means your coworkers can count on you, you can count on them, and together we can achieve more.

Over the last year, we’ve been focused on compensation and benefits and making decisions that best support you – our amazing Team Members. As Open Enrollment approaches, our focus remains on offering options that help you and your families stay well, feel secure, and thrive – both at work and at home.

Each day, we accomplish great things here at MBUSI, and every Team Member has a role in our success. To celebrate each of you, I am excited to announce we are hosting Family Day in spring 2026. Family Day is our way of saying thank you, and of honoring you and your families by celebrating the people who make our success possible, both at work and at home.

Last week’s Transformation Conference brought together leaders from across MBUSI for meaningful conversations about where we are, where we’re headed, and how we’ll get there together. It was a time to connect, collaborate, and align on the actions that will keep our momentum strong for the rest of the year, and ensure that we can continue to support our Team Members.

We are midway through the year, and I am proud of the ongoing focus we all have on our values of Safety, Quality and Integrity. These values are our guiding principles and this week I want to focus on Quality, which is at the core of everything we do.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last week at the All Team Meetings, and to every single one of you who brings dedication, passion, and purpose to our work at MBUSI. We are incredibly grateful for the energy you put into what you do, and we are excited about the path we are on, together.
